Bet U No This...Mississippi State is the lose in the SEC. RUSTON, La. (AP) - Brad Oestriecher made a career-best three field goals and Louisiana Tech took advantage of three Mississippi State turnovers in the third quarter in a 22-14 upset on Saturday.
The win by Tech was the first over a BCS conference squad in five years (at Michigan State in 2003) and first against an SEC team since an upset of No. 18 Alabama at Tuscaloosa in 1999.
The last time a current member of the SEC played in Ruston was 1908 when visitor LSU beat Tech 22-0 Hey, Hey (the SEC) we 're all...shook-up! See y'all Tennessee vs UCLA, 09/01/2008

Do U No...Starting QB for Vandy game
Who will it be? This is a conference game, so Beecher or Smelley? Do U No?
Do U No SEC Started SC vs NC
Spurrier had intended for junior Tommy Beecher to lead the Gamecocks. But after Beecher threw four interceptions in his first start and was removed due to a head injury, backup Chris Smelley was in charge and led three fourth-quarter touchdown drives in South Carolina's 34-0 win over North Carolina State on Thursday night. This game was very similar to last season's opener, when LSU played Mississippi State and made the score look a lot worse than it really was. South Carolina out-played the Wolfpack, but they still didn't play that well. I'd say there is a quarterback controversy in South Carolina! Beecher threw for 106 yds, 12 out of 22 and those 4 int's

Do U No, Which Conferences have the worst Refs?

I am sure you have your ideas, here are my conclusions:
Worst: PAC 10: Too many games with boosters for the home team as the umpire leading to questionable calls that make a difference.
Second Worst:Big East: Tried to give WV the win against Pittsburgh last year. Pittsburgh beat WV and the refs.
Third Worst: SEC: Bad calls everywhere, but at least they hit both sides about evenly.
Refs are like field goal snappers, you usually only notice them when they mess up. Maybe I am forgetting serious grievances, but I haven't noticed the refs of the ACC, MAC, Big 10 or Sun Belt to often.
Best: Big 12, MWC, WAC: Working together to set a higher bar for officiating nationally. NOTE: C-USA will be joining next year.

Go Vols 2008!
Tennessee team can once again play above expectations and compete for those same championships again, right now. With Phillip Fulmer - still the winningest active head coach in college football among those with ten or more years of experience - seemingly secure with a new contract after winning his fifth division title last season, he welcomes Dave Clawson to the fold, the first playcaller to come from outside the Big Orange Family in more than two decades. Clawson brings something new to the table and a commitment to get the ball to the playmakers. Those playmakers include senior Arian Foster, who ran for 1,193 yards last season and will own the school rushing record with just 684 more. He leads a talented stable of backs that include junior Montario Hardesty, sophomore Lennon Creer, and freshman Taurean Poole; Creer and Hardesty combined for almost 600 yards last season. Those playmakers also include a number of wide receivers, who were highly questioned at this time last year and turned in terrific numbers in response. Senior Lucas Taylor led the way, with 73 catches for exactly 1,000 yards last season. Austin Rogers and Josh Briscoe are also proven threats, but the continued emergence of sophomore Gerald Jones appears to be the extra dimension the Vols are looking for in their offense.Tack on the addition of tight end Brandon Warren, former freshman All-America at Florida State, and the aforementioned offensive line, and Tennessee has more than a few options. But the offense will begin and end with the play of quarterback Jonathan Crompton.Crompton has waited two years for his turn. He saw action in 2006 against LSU and Arkansas when Erik Ainge was injured, and turned in admirable performances. Now, the reigns of the offense belong to him and him alone.
2008 Best Backs of the SEC

Georgia’s Knowshon Moreno, Tennessee’s Arian Foster along with Mississippi State’s Anthony Dixon are going to be the backs to watch. Which do u no to lead the Southeastern Conference’s running attack in 2008?

Ranking the most obnoxious SEC fans
From the Atlanta Journal Constitution, columnist Mark Bradley gets ready to kick off the 2008 college football season by throwing his hat into the ring and ranking the most obnoxious football fans in the SEC.
12. Mississippi State: The only time State fans get really upset is when you make fun of their rustic town. I know this from experience. But you know what? If I'd have been a Starkvillian and read what I wrote back in 2005, I'd have gotten ticked, too.
...
5. Arkansas: It was over the top for Hog fans to file Freedom of Information requests to gain access to Houston Nutt’s cell phone records, but it was over the top in an amusing way. One word of warning: Don't try that stuff with Bobby Petrino. He'll just up and leave.
...
1. Florida: Gator fans didn’t become obnoxious when Steve Spurrier started beating everybody. They were obnoxious when their team couldn't win the SEC to save its life. And for all Floridians still irked by Georgia's celebration, here are two words to Google: Gator Flop.

Favorite Beer of the SEC

The top picks are: Miller Lite Coors Light and of course AB's Bud light. What do u no ? You choose, the SEC beer for 2008
Florida Schedule ranked easiest in SEC
The boys at Rivals.com have a great conference preview for the SEC, including a look both at the most and least difficult schedules within the conference.
For it's part, Georgia was ranked as having the toughest SEC schedule this year, particularly given the Bulldogs games at LSU, at Florida, at Kentucky and at Auburn... back to back to back to back. No rest for the Dawgs in 2008, for sure.
The least difficult SEC schedule belongs to Urban Meyer and the Florida Gators. Team Tebow miss two of the SEC Wests best teams (Auburn and Alabama) completely and get LSU at home this season.
EASIEST SCHEDULE: Florida. "Easiest" is a relative term in the SEC. The Gators miss Alabama and Auburn, two of the three best teams in the SEC West. The toughest non-conference road game is against Florida State – which has scored 46 points in its past four games against Florida, all losses. Hawaii and Miami are on the schedule, but Hawaii will be way down from last season and UM has a ways to go to get back to elite status. The toughest conference road game is against Tennessee, a team UF beat by 39 last season. The Gators do play LSU and Georgia, but the Tigers have to play in the Swamp and the game against the Bulldogs is in Jacksonville. Mississippi State has the easiest schedule in the West. The Bulldogs don't play Florida or Georgia.
Of course, it's worth noting... there are no easy schedules in the SEC. I don't care who you play where, there are no easy games in the SEC. Not even against Vandy.
