Well here is the dirt from the SEC; for the 2nd time in less than 2 months and possibly for the last time. Arkansas linebacker Khiry Battle has been arrested.
According to the (NW Arkansas Morning News), Battle was arrested early Sunday morning(6/28/09)and charged with driving under the influence, violating the city’s noise ordinance and refusing to submit to submit to a breathalyzer test!(how is that one!)
Battle was pulled after police heard loud music coming from his vehicle. An odor of alcohol was detected after an officer approached the vehicle, leading to Battle’s arrest on multiple charges.
He was released from jail yesterday morning after posting an $830 bond.
The school has yet to comment on Battle’s latest skirmish with the law.
Early last month, Battle was involved in an on-campus argument with another student. After police responded to the disturbance and did a background check on the two involved, it was discovered that Battle had a warrant out for his arrest after failing to appear in court for a careless driving ticket.
He was subsequently arrested for failure to appear.The SEC Rocks
