University of Alabama sophomore linebacker Courtney Upshaw participated in Thursday’s practice. He was arrested on charges of 3rd-degree domestic violence late Wednesday night and was released from jail Thursday morning. Not any suspension was given to the player.
Senior running back Roy Upchurch was not at Thursday’s practice for unknown reasons. Freshman wide receiver Kenny Bell was also absent from practice. Saban said Tuesday that Bell was suffering from bad shin splints.
Freshman cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick was in a no-contact black jersey for the second straight day for undetermined reasons.
For the entire week, Barrett Jones has been running drills at right guard alongside Drew Davis, a trend that continued Thursday. The SEC Rocks!
