Alabama's Jones and Richardson Injured in Scrimmage

University of Alabama coach Nick Saban was pleased with the performance of the 1st-team offense and defense, but not so much with the 2nd teams during Saturday’s final fall scrimmage.
“There was a tremendous amount of improvement from last week’s scrimmage to this week’s scrimmage,” Saban said.
Sophomore wide receiver Julio Jones gave both fans and boosters who were invited to attend the closed scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium a scare when he twisted his ankle on a long pass. He did not leave the scrimmage.
True freshman running back Trent Richardson sustained a sprained shoulder. Neither injury is considered serious.
“I think he’ll be ok,” Saban said.
Senior defensive back Marquis Johnson had what Saban called a “head sting. He’ll be fine.” The SEC Rocks!
