
Alabama sophomore running back Mark Ingram was selected as a candidate for the 2009 Doak Walker Award the Guaranty Bank SMU Athletic Forum announced this week.
The Doak Walker Award annually goes to the top running back in college football and is announced live on ESPN on The Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards each December.
Ingram, a native of Flint, Mich., enters his second year in a Crimson Tide uniform after rushing for 728 yards on 143 carries and a team-high 12 touchdowns as a freshman in 2008. The SEC Rocks!
