Gator freshman Debose 'could miss significant time

Thanks to what appears to be a severe hamstring injury, Florida could have to wait until later on this season to find out if the moniker of "The New Percy Harvin" is apt for one of their five-star recruits.
According to the Miami Herald, freshman wide receiver Andre Debose has what might be a torn hamstring tendon and will likely miss the season opener next weekend. At least.
"We found out there is some damage to his hamstring,'' head coach Urban Meyer said. "It doesn't happen very often. It's a tendon, and we're going to evaluate the significance of it.
"
It's a real injury. We were worried it was just a tight hamstring, a hamstring pull or a hamstring strain."
The school believes Debose initially suffered the injury during the Florida state track meet earlier this year.
Meyer said he found out the seriousness of the injury last night, and will know the full extent of the injury on Monday.
Update: Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post reports that corrective surgery may be necessary to repair whatever damage there is to Debose's hamstring.
