Kiffin Era starts with offense, defense: 63-7...5 TDs for Crompton


The Lane Kiffin Era opened with a bang Saturday, a 63-7 Tennessee rout of Western Kentucky at Neyland Stadium.
Jonathan Crompton threw 5 touchdown passes and the Vols scored 28 points in both the 2nd and 4th quarters.
Montario Hardesty and Bryce Brown each rushed for more than 100 yards. Brown was one of 3 true freshmen scoring touchdowns in their debut. David Oku rushed for 2 scores and Marsalis Teague caught a Crompton TD pass.
Luke Stocker caught 2 touchdown passes, Brandon Warren and Quintin Hancock 1 each.
The Vols gained 658 yards of total offense while holding the Hilltoppers to 83. The SEC Rocks!
