Did Vols' Crompton silence the doubters?

To answer the headline, hell no.
But, Tennessee's starting quarterback did, at minimum, somewhat mute his critics with a 5 touchdown performance in the dawning of the Lane Kiffin Era in Knoxville.
Is it mitigated by the fact that it came against a Western Kentucky team in its first "official" as a full-fledged member of Div. 1-A football? Yeah, maybe. Somewhat.
But, he did what he was supposed to do. He dominated a lesser opponent at home.
Should he reserve his spot for the 4th seat of the Heisman Trophy ceremony? Of course not. Especially when his 2 picks are thrown in
But, the performance in a 63-7 blowout is something that Crompton, Kiffin, can build on. Especially with The Swamp looming in two weeks. Oooh, The SEC Rocks!
