The American-Statesman's weekly Heisman watch follows the leading candidates for college football's most prestigious award:The Scripps Howard Heisman Trophy poll, in its 22nd year, is the longest running weekly Heisman ranking in the country. Ten Heisman voters select five players each week, with points allotted on a 5-through-1 basis, with five points for a first-place vote, four for a second, etc. First-place votes are in parentheses:
