Kiffin's words say indefinite suspension for Vols trio

While stopping short of calling it an indefinite suspension, head coach Lane Kiffin's explanation of the status of three players arrested earlier this week left no doubt what's going on in Knoxville.
Kiffin, in his harshest and most pointed public comments yet on the situation, said in no uncertain terms that the three players arrested and charged with three counts each of attempted armed robbery, safety Janzen Jackson, wide receiver Nu'Keese Richardson and defensive back Mike Edwards, are not welcome around the team for any reason as he and the football program wind their way through the fact-finding mission undertaken shortly after the arrests.
"They won't play or practice until I get all the information in, because this is too critical," Kiffin said. "No way would we ever, with something like this possibly having happened, no way would we ever let one of those guys ever play for us. We don't let them come to the functions over here, meetings or practice or anything.
"I'm not calling it anything except for telling you that they're not part of any of our activities until we get more information in. There's no way I would ever let them be around our team and be around our functions with what's been said that may have happened."
So, yeah, the trio has been indefinitely suspended, whether Kiffin wants to label it as such or not.
