Damon Evans' resignation to be announced Monday by UGA

Zach Klein of WSB-TV was the first to report Sunday morning that disgraced Georgia athletic director Damon Evans would be resigning his post.
Multiple reports have since confirmed Klein's initial story, and now additional news is surfacing regarding the timing of the announcement of Evans' resignation.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the resignation is expected to be announced Monday morning during a teleconference of UGA's executive committee.
Evans met Sunday afternoon with a school attorney, presumably to hammer out a negotiated settlement with the university. A new five-year. mid-six-figures contract for Evans was slated to go into effect on July 1, mere minutes before his DUI arrest.
