Ex-UGA QB Mettenberger heading to JUCO ranks

According to the Wichita Eagle by way of the Athens Banner-Herald, quarterback Zach Mettenberger has enrolled at Butler (Kan.) Community College and will play for the Grizzlies this fall.
Mettenberger was arrested on five charges in March, dismissed by head coach Mark Richt in April and pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery in May for doing a hands-on examination of a 20-year-old female's breasts and buttocks.
Butler head coach Troy Morell said his school did their due diligence on Mettenberger and feel comfortable bringing the young QB into the fold.
"We did our research on Zach," Morrell told the Eagle. "We feel like he can be a great asset to our team, and it's widely known that he paid the price for what he's done and he's trying to move on."

With Mettenberger gone from the competition, Aaron Murray, by default, has the reins of the Bulldogs' offense and, has been impressive in leading UGA through their voluntary summer workouts.
