Masoli to remain Rebels' starting QB, Right Now

Monday, head coach Houston Nutt declared the obvious and tabbed Masoli as his starting quarterback for Saturday's game against Vanderbilt. It will be Masoli's first game against SEC competition.
"Right now we're going to start Jeremiah," Nutt said. "In order to get the flow of things, and get that chemistry, it is probably best to have one quarterback. ...
"Jeremiah played very well. We have to continue to get better. We are playing a very good team in Vanderbilt. They played well against LSU and it was close all the way up until the fourth quarter."
In his Ole Miss debut, Masoli completed 14-of-20 passes for 281 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also ran nine times for 27 yards and a touchdown in the win.
