NCAA to hear Bulldog's A.J. Green's appeal Wednesday

Monday night, while speaking on local radio Richt, Georgia's head coach said it was his understanding that A.J. Green's appeal of a 4-game suspension would be heard by the NCAA Wednesday morning. The hearing will take place via a conference call.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports that, while the school is hoping for a swift appeal, Richt said "it may come down to a decision on Friday on this appeal."

Green was held out of the season opener, then suspended for three additional games by the NCAA after it was found he had sold a game-worn jersey for $1,000 to a person the NCAA considers to be a player agent.
