Vanderbilt left tackle and former Montgomery Bell Academy standout Wesley Johnson was honored as the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance in the Commodores' 28-14 win at Ole Miss. A redshirt freshman playing in his third college game, Johnson was a big reason why Vanderbilt was able to run for 227 yards (5.5 per carry) against the vaunted defensive line of the Rebels. Johnson was credited with six knockdown blocks in the win and helped spring Warren Norman and Zac Stacy for long touchdown runs. This is the Commodores' first weekly SEC award of the season.
