LSU has to have some 'Luck of the Irish'...in Jordan Jefferson' Case

LSU's head coach Les Miles said Jordan Jefferson will get the start at quarterback when LSU plays at Florida Saturday. "I think it will probably go exactly the same," as last week against Tennessee, said Miles when asked if the slumping Jefferson, who has been LSU's starter since late in the 2008 season, would start again against Florida. In last week's 16-14 win over Tennessee, Jefferson completed just 3 of 10 passes with two interceptions and was relieved for much of the game by backup Jarrett Lee, who completed 16 of 23 passes for 185 yards. Jefferson has gone four straight games without passing for triple-digit yards. The first five games of the season, Jordan Jefferson has passed for 151, 96, 97, 75 and 30 yards. The LSU quarterback has thrown two touchdown passes, none in the last four games , and six interceptions. Miles said both quarterbacks will play again and Lee may be looked on more to pass and Jefferson to run "but the good news is the ability run and pass is there for both guys," he said.
