SEC Football Online's Free SEC Football Odds Pick of the Week...UK vs Ole Miss

Kentucky Wildcats at Ole Miss Rebels

12:20 pm ET

College Football Line: Ole Miss favored at -3

Ole Miss' offense is coming around more now as transfer Jeremiah Masoli settles in at quarterback. The former Oregon Ducks triggerman in the spread has come over to the Ole Miss offense. Early returns were not good but everyone knows he has all-conference talent from his time with the ducks. Masoli is like a smaller version of Tim Tebow at 5-foot-11 but his speed and low center of gravity make him very tough to tackle. He was all the UK coaches talked about this week and especially the defenders. Ole Miss had to replace 10 starters on offense going into the year which explains their rough start but Masoli is leading them back from the oblivion, mostly with his legs. UK has a big, athletic defense, that has to be more responsible in its assignments to avoid giving up the big play.

These two teams are virtually identical according to the college football stats on offense going into this one as both average right around 36 points and 450 yards a game. That means this will likely be a shootout as the oddsmakers predicted. In a game like this, go with the team whose offense has been together longer, Kentucky, because they are less likely to make the key mistake even though Masoli gives Ole Miss the edge at QB.

College Football Odds Pick: Kentucky (+3).
