Tuesday, King was suspended for two games by head coach Mark Richt as a result of yesterday's arrest. He will miss games against Vanderbilt and Kentucky, but will return in time for the annual rivalry game with Florida.
"I expect all our players to take care of their responsibilities on and off the field," said Richt in a statement released by the school. "When players don't do that it damages the reputation of the player, our team, and our university. My goal is for Caleb to learn a lesson and for other players to learn from his experience."
King became the 11th Bulldog football player to be arrested since March, a number that no doubt led to the rather stiff punishment levied on the junior.
