UGA’s King making move to ‘replace’ A.J. Green

Still in the process of replacing A.J. Green, Georgia’s scrimmage Saturday left coach Mark Richt feeling confident about the receiver position. “I’ve got faith in those guys,” Richt said of his receiving corps, now without Green, who left early for the NFL draft, and Kris Durham, who exhausted eligibility. Junior Tavarres King appears to be the leading candidate to assume the No. 1 role; a position King says suits him fine.

“I look at myself as a leader now,” he said. “Leading isn’t an easy task. That’s what I’ve been trying to do; letting guys know I’m there for them, and I’m going to be there day in and day out.”
