Tennessee offensive lineman Kevin Revis has been granted permission to seek a transfer, UT spokesman Jimmy Stanton confirmed Thursday. Jason Fitzgerald, the former Rhea County coach who led the program when Revis was a Mr. Tennessee Football Finalist, told the Chattanooga Times Free Press on Wednesday that Revis was in the process of seeking options to play elsewhere. Revis played in one game in 2010 after redshirting as a true freshman. He was not listed in the UT two-deep at the conclusion of spring practice and was not a likely candidate to see significant playing time in 2011.
Revis is the eighth member of Lane Kiffin's one and only UT signing class who is no longer with the team.
