“Coach Steve Spurrier just informed me that he has not officially reinstated Victor Hampton to the football squad. Coach Spurrier indicated that Victor’s situation is still under review and Victor needs to ‘do some things’ between now and the start of the second session of summer school to be reinstated to the team,” said Fink. by Ben Kercheval

Spurrier gives Victor Hampton a lesson from Stephen Garcia school of suspensions
Steve Spurrier held a meeting with Hampton and his parents where a “conduct contract” was reportedly signed. As it turns out, the contract doesn’t signify Hampton’s return to the Gamecocks just yet. Instead, it appears Spurrier is giving Hampton the Stephen Garcia treatment by handing the defensive back a check-list of things to do before he can return to the team. The announcement was given by South Carolina AD for media relations Steve Fink in a statement earlier today.
