Dawgs247.com writes today that senior safety Jakar Hamilton has two stress fractures in his right ankle and is likely done for the season. Hamilton has been out for a good portion of UGA’s preseason camp with what has been originally reported as a hamstring injury. It’s believed Hamilton has been dealing with the injury since the offseason. Hamilton does have a redshirt opportunity to use, if he misses the majority of the season. He started five games for the Bulldogs as a junior in 2010, recording 27 tackles and an interception.
