Kentucky RB will miss 2-3 weeks
Joker Phillips says running back Raymond Sanders will miss two to three weeks after aggravating a knee injury in practice. Sanders underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a slight cartilage tear in his right knee on Thursday morning. Phillips says Kentucky has lost other players and the game won’t stop for the Wildcats because of Sanders’ injury. Through two games, Sanders had rushed for 97 yards on 21 attempts. Freshman Josh Clemons will start in Sanders’ place. He has played well so far with 25 carries for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Sanders had a similar surgery on his left knee over the summer. Phillips says it won’t take Sanders as long to recover from this surgery because the injury didn’t involve any kind of bone bruise.
