Citing sources close to the program, Randy Rosetta of TigerSportsDigest.com is reporting that Shepard will be forced to serve a three-game suspension before being reinstated by the NCAA. LSU had previously appealed to the NCAA for reinstatement on Shepard’s behalf. In addition to the win over the Ducks, Shepard will miss a home game this weekend against Northwestern State and a road trip to No. 16 Mississippi State. He will be eligible to return for the Sept. 24 game against West Virginia.
Last season, Shepard was second on the team with 33 catches for 254 yards
