Samuel ruled out for Georgia against New Mexico State

One of the impact players for Georiga in last weekend’s win over Florida was running back Richard Samuel. Samuel shared time with freshman running back Isaiah Crowell during the game, but ended up taking a bulk of the carries when Crowell was sidelined for part of the second half with a shin contusion.

Samuel rushed for the Bulldogs’ only score on the ground and kept the Georgia offense on the field to run out the clock at the end of the game. Coincidentally, it was on one of the final plays of the game when Samuel rushed for a game-deciding first down that the running back injured his ankle and had to limp off the field.
