Tahj Jones one of four LSU players ineligible for season

Head coach Les Miles confirmed Wednesday that linebacker Tahj Jones, as well as three other Tigers, have been ruled ineligible for the 2012 season.  The others are tight end Tyler Edwards (26 career games, no starts), offensive lineman Evan Washington (hasn’t played) and linebacker D.J. Welter (seven career games, zero starts).  Jones and RB M. Ford were fighting ineligible issues prior to the season opener. Ford was cleared and an appeal for Jones was ensuing, apparently the appeal has been revoked.
