LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky head football coach Rich Brooks confirmed Friday after practice that wide receiver Aaron Boyd (Lexington, Ky.) will redshirt this season.
Boyd, who caught five balls for 46 yards a year ago as a freshman, can practice with the team and participate in team activities, but he will not play in any games in 2009. He'll return to the field in 2010 as a redshirt sophomore.
Brooks said they reached the decision two or three days ago.
