Arkansas' Ramon Broadway Arrested...Play Time Uncertain

Arkansas cornerback Ramon Broadway was arrested and booked into the Washington County Detention Center at 7:51 p.m. Sunday after he reportedly failed to take care of a traffic violation in Alma. According to a spokeswoman at the jail, a warrant was issued for Broadway's arrest after he failed to appear in court to settle a ticket for no proof of insurance. Broadway, 21, who was expected to start Saturday's season opener against Missouri State, was arrested and held for another department. He was released at 9:18 p.m. Sunday after posting a $575 bond. With the uncertainty in Arkansas' secondary, coaches were counting on Broadway to provide leadership and stability at one of the starting cornerback spots. It's uncertain how his arrest will affect his status for the season opener. Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino was unavailable for comment Sunday night. Broadway is the 5th Arkansas football player to be arrested since March and the 1st since linebacker Khiry Battle was kicked off the team following his June 28 arrest on a charge of driving under the influence and other traffic violations. Ouch...The SEC Rocks!
