Auburn's Ben Tate named to Maxwell Watch List

Auburn senior running back Ben Tate has been named to the 2009 Maxwell Award Pre-Season Watch List.
Tate finished 6th in the SEC in rushing last season with 55.3 yards per game. Playing in all 12 games, he led the Tigers with 664 rushing yards and 765 all-purpose yards. Tate had a season-high 115 rushing yards in the 2008 season opener against Louisiana-Monroe and followed up in the next game with a season-high 122 all-purpose yards against Southern Mississippi.
Tate will enter his senior season with 1959 career rushing yards, a mark good enough for 14th all-time at Auburn. He is 228 yards away from breaking Auburn's top 10 list. The SEC Rocks!
