ESPN announced today that their College Game Day Show will be live in Atlanta opening weekend.
Fowler, Corso, Herbstreit & Company will be on the scene for the Virginia Tech-Alabama game at the Georgia Dome, although not actually right outside the stadium as is the norm.
Instead, they will be down the way a bit broadcasting from the Centennial Olympic Park.
The choice for opening weekend was a no-brainer for the World Wide Leader as, one, it involves 2 teams ranked in the top 10 and, also the game is being televised by ABC.
Realistically, the only 2 other choices for ESPN that weekend were Oklahoma-BYU at the brand new Dallas Stadium and Georgia-Oklahoma State in Stillwater. The former had to have been a very attractive option for the network, but the draw of 2 top-10 teams likely proved to be too much to overlook. The SEC Rocks!
