It will be tough for Vanderbilt to crack the upper tier in the SEC. The point is, they just don't have the talent that Florida and Georgia have. That's why the recruiting numbers are so mesmerizing. It's an undisputed fact that Vandy is pulling in better athletes now than ever before.
Couple that with some big wins a few years in a row and the new national media exposure the SEC will get with the new ESPN deal, and that recruiting trend could continue. Who knows, it might not be long before Johnson starts regularly hauling in some 4 star atheletes.
College football is all about momentum, in every phase of the sport, from the actual games, to the season, to recruiting. If they can keep the ball rolling, who knows just where it will stop. The SEC Rocks!
