The Bulldogs may have lost a starting offensive lineman for an extended period of time.
During yesterday's 24-10 loss to Oklahoma State, left tackle Trinton Sturdivant went down with an injury to his left knee in the third quarter.
According to the Macon Telegraph, Sturdivant was seen after the game wearing a cast down the entire length of the leg, and was walking with the aid of crutches. Nonetheless, head coach Mark Richt wasn't yet ready or able to pronounce just how severe the injury is.
"We're not going to jump to any conclusions right this second," Richt said. "He's keeping his spirits up and is optimistic that it's not a real severe thing. An MRI will basically tell the story, but he's not in pain at all that I could see."
Sturdivant missed all of the 2008 season with torn ligaments in the same knee.
