Former Auburn HC, Pat Dye calls Starkville the SEC's toughest place to play

Starkville, Miss., the toughest place to play football in the SEC. Starkville got a vote from no less an authority than former Auburn coach Pat Dye. "People can talk about Death Valley, Tuscaloosa, Gainesville, Athens, Knoxville," he said. "Starkville, Miss., is the toughest place to play in this conference." "I don't care what people say," Dye said. "They ain't coached there. I have." "The reason it's tough to play in those other places is because they have darn good football players and darn good football teams," he said. "In Starkville, Miss., you can go in there with a better football team and get your tail whipped."
