UGA could learn results of A.J. Green's appeal Tuesday

Speaking to members of the media Sunday afternoon. Georgia's head coach Mark Reicht says there's a chance they will hear from the NCAA Tuesday on the star wide receiver's appeal of his multi-game suspension. There's also the chance they won't hear from the NCAA until later.
Such is the life of a coach who's at the mercy of the whims of a governing body that considers a snail's pace recklessly fast and out of control.
"It's possible, but there's no guarantee that it gets heard on Tuesday," Richt said Sunday. "There's no guarantee we get an answer on Tuesday, I'm hopeful, but to say if I have any clue as to how the appeal could go, I have no idea."
Green was held out of the season opener and ultimately suspended three additional games for selling a game-worn jersey for $1,000 to a quasi-agent earlier this offseason.
Immediately after announcing Green's suspension, school officials stated they would be appealing the NCAA's decision. If it is unsuccessful, Green would miss conference games against Arkansas and Mississippi State. With the Bulldogs are already 0-1 in SEC play, they can not afford to lose another SEC game.
