Auburn quarterback Cam Newton picked up the Walter Camp Award as the nation's best college player Thursday night in Orlando, his final stop before heading to New York where he's expected to win the Heisman Trophy on Saturday.
Newton is the third player from Auburn to win the award, following Pat Sullivan in 1971 and Bo Jackson in 1985. Sullivan and Jackson won the Heisman Trophy, too.
