Five Gators named to 2010 Freshman All-SEC Team

A conference-high five gator freshmen were named to the 2010 Freshman All-SEC Team Thursday, by vote of the Southeastern Conference head coaches. Quarterback Trey Burton (Venice, Fla.), defensive lineman Sharrif Floyd (Philadelphia, Pa.), linebackers Jelani Jenkins (Olney, Md.) and Ronald Powell (Moreno Valley, Calif.), and wide receiver Andre Debose (Sanford, Fla.) all secured a spot on the list. Burton was honored for his all-purpose contributions and Debose was honored as a return specialist. Eleven of the Southeastern Conference football squads were represented, but Florida led the way with five selections, while Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee had four each. Georgia, LSU and Vanderbilt, each had three representatives on the team. South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore earned a spot on the team after he was named SEC Freshman of the Year and first team All-SEC earlier this week.
