Vanderbilt, short on talent and long on dreams, is making serious waves under new coach James Franklin, who has changed the school's approach to recruiting. Vandy has gotten pretty good at targeting high-profile prospects and landing a few, a change in direction that could send a ripple effect through- out the rest of the league in years to come.
Still for now Alabama and LSU are expected to battle throughout the fall, not just for an SEC West title but a shot at the national crown.
