Wrist Injury doesn't Worry Gamecocks Norwood

South Carolina linebacker Eric Norwood was in a yellow, non-contact jersey Monday night. But the senior was still all smiles.
Norwood doesn't seem overly concerned with a sprained right wrist that will keep him out of contact drills until likely the middle of next week.
"It's part of the game," Norwood said, flexing the wrist.
Coach Steve Spurrier went so far as to say it was a crack in his wrist. But Norwood said he only understands it to be sprained.
Norwood, 4 sacks off the school record, said the move to sit him is almost purely precautionary.
"If we had (North Carolina State) on Saturday," Norwood said, "I'd be playing."
In fact, Norwood said he had a similar injury to his left wrist early last season. He played through it.
Also in yellow Monday was running back Brian Maddox, who bruised his shoulder in Sunday's scrimmage. Spurrier said Maddox would be held out 2 or 3 days. The SEC Rocks!
