Tennessee Vols, fall apart against Georgia Bulldogs

A Georgia team that was coming off four straight losses overwhelmed the Vols at every turn in a 41-14 decision that could've been much, much worse."Our growing pains reared their ugly head out there," said UT Coach Derek Dooley. "It's hard to say we were ready when you go out there and get run out of the stadium from the first play to the last." By the end of the first quarter, the Vols already were down 17-0. It was 27-7 by halftime. "As a team, we kind of fell apart at the end," said safety Janzen Jackson. "We kept on looking up there at that scoreboard and it didn't look any better every time we looked up there. It's going to be demoralizing to a team when you're down 41-14." UT's defense made Aaron Murray, Georgia's redshirt freshman quarterback, look like a combination of Fran Tarkenton and Matthew Stafford. Murray threw for 266 yards and two touchdowns on 17-of-25 passing and ran seven times for 41 more yards and two touchdowns. "We knew we were able to come out and play like this," Murray said.Said Dooley: "Every play they ran worked. We're not stopping anybody. That's been pretty consistent every game. How many yards did they get, 600?"
